Interesting exchange over whether Tesla or Hyundai uses more public funding than the other, or any at all to fund their clean energy recharging/refueling stations. Hyundai accused Tesla of funding the Supercharger stations using public money. Tesla testily replied that is not the case. It is known they paid back low interest government loans ahead of schedule and that Tesla funded the stations on their own. It is interesting that Hyundai is seeking help for hydrogen refueling stations for their cars. Possibly even government help. No doubt the competition between manufacturers and their competing power distribution is heating up. The complete article from GreenCarReports.com is a very interesting read and an indication of things to come in the world of clean energy motoring.
