Tesla Model III Arriving in 2017 for $35,000

Tesla has just announced their new Model III will be priced at $35,000 when it comes out in 2017. That will make it about half the cost of the Model S Tesla. Less expensive battery technology produced by the planned Tesla Gigafactory. The new Model III price will place it into very competitive territory. The Model III will be based on a brand new platform rather than a scaled down version of the Model S. The III will be unveiled in 2016 and be available for sale in 2017. This price point for the benchmark plug in car developer and manufacturer should prove to be an important milestone for the automotive industry.
